Most entry-level jobs don't let you lead anything. You support someone else's project, wait for approval, and build toward responsibility you might get in five years. Teach For Armenia gives you the platform to lead, putting you in charge of the learning of 30 students and the space to drive change in the community.
You will be coached and trained throughout the experience, but the work is yours. You set the standard, make the decisions, and answer for the results. Two years in, you will have led a classroom, built relationships with families and colleagues, and delivered under conditions most graduates never encounter.
You don’t need a title to lead. Here, leadership starts on day one.
You are employed and paid by your partner school, on the standard public school teaching salary. Teach For Armenia provides an additional monthly stipend to support your relocation and living costs in your placement community.
A dedicated Leadership Development Manager provides regular one-on-one coaching, team meetings, and progress reviews.
Regular classroom observations, with lesson-planning support, practical feedback, and clear next steps.
Self-guided modules, backed by office hours, in lesson planning, assessment and data-informed instruction, classroom culture, inclusive education, Change-Based Learning, social-emotional learning and well-being, leadership and professional identity, and family and community engagement.
Specialists provide subject-based resources, teaching strategies, and preparation for Armenia's voluntary teacher attestation process.
Education conferences and peer-learning workshops connect Teacher Leaders with alumni, experts, and one another.
Between Year 1 and Year 2, you complete an approved internship aligned with one of Teach For Armenia's three Alumni Pathways: an early chance to build networks, apply your leadership outside the classroom, and see where the work leads next.
